Kane scores twice, but 10-man Bayern are held to a draw by a late Viking goal

Herman Haugen scored a 90th-minute equalizer as Viking held Bayern Munich to a dramatic 3-3 Champions League draw that will go down as one of the most famous nights in the club’s history.

Harry Kane scored twice and played a huge hand in the third goal, scored by Luis Díaz, as Bayern came from 2-0 down to lead late on. A needless red card for Michael Olise in the 73rd minute, however, shifted the balance once again.

Late Drama at Viking

With time ticking down, tireless Viking captain Zlotka Tripic sent in a cross, and academy product Haugen rose at the back post. The ball went in off the defender’s shoulder, and no home fans cared how it went in.

Viking had taken a shock lead after only 70 seconds, when Gianni Stensness headed in from a corner. They doubled their advantage seven minutes before the break, with Peter Christiansen finishing a superb counter-attack.

Kane Leads the Fightback

Kane pulled one back from the penalty spot early in the second half after Haugen caught Joshua Kimmich in the box. A VAR check confirmed the decision. On the hour, Kane headed in Kimmich’s cross, making it nine straight Champions League appearances with a goal for the England captain.

Bayern moved ahead after 71 minutes. Kane swept the ball into the path of Konrad Laimer, who squared for Díaz to finish. Bayern could not hold on, though, as Viking earned a point they will long remember.
