Kane Reaches Agreement on New Contract with Bayern

FC Bayern Munich and striker Harry Kane have reached a verbal agreement in principle on a new long-term contract running through June 2029, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, citing Sky reporter Michael Bridge. Both the contract term and the financial terms have already been negotiated.

The contract documents are now with the lawyers, who are reviewing the deal and are expected to approve it for signing. Although a specific new annual salary has not been publicly disclosed, an agreement on compensation is reportedly in place.

Lawyers Are Finalizing the Deal

The 33-year-old’s current contract runs through the summer of 2027. The new deal would tie Kane to the club for two more years. Reports had already indicated that Bayern and Kane agreed on an extension through 2029, and this latest update confirms that trend.

Bayern officials have repeatedly said in recent months that they are planning for the long term with their star striker. Kane has also signaled on several occasions that he feels at home in Munich and is open to staying longer. Most recently, sporting director Max Eberl said talks were going well but had not yet been finalized, noting that some details still needed to be worked out.

Now, everything indicates that only the legal formalities remain. Once the documents are reviewed and approved, the signing could take place. Kane wants to stay, and both sides have apparently already agreed on the contract term and salary.
